Skims
3D-printed collection development for Skims, which I led
and initiated, transforming traditional workflows by integrating3D printing into prototyping.
This process included designing intimate wear products
with 3D-printed elements while utilizing the technology for feasibility testing and rapid design iteration.
Highlights include custom 3D-printed corset stays, meticulously tailored to balance flexibility and support
for optimal shaping creating an innovative product
that incorporates unique fabrics with 3D-printed
shapewear elements.
Preliminary shape study focusing on zones of support,
stretch areas, while highlighting the body’s curves.
Using advanced tools like Rhino3D and Grasshopper 3D,
the designs were produced with FDM technology and
a customG-code generator.
The innovative approach combined unique fabrics
with precise structural elements, enhancing functionality and aesthetics.
